Joining the Solicitors Regulation Authority to discuss the sharing of regulatory data

By Sascia Elliott In About TLS

This week The Law Superstore’s Matthew Briggs will join a panel event at the Compliance Officers for Finance and Administration (COFA) and Compliance Officers for Legal Practice (COLP) Conference 2016 to discuss the importance of sharing regulatory data.

Held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, the event is comprised of three interactive, targeted sessions with insight from experts on effective compliance, the latest industry trends and sharing of best practice. Through COLPs and COFAs, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is promoting the benefits of closer working between the regulator and those who are regulated.

Key points of discussion at the conference include staying safe from cybercrime, regulatory change, professional indemnity insurance and continuous professional development.

Ahead of the event, Matthew said:

“Transparency has become a key point of discussion across the legal profession in 2016. And the sharing of regulatory data has an important role to play in this. At The Law Superstore, much of our focus is on driving competition and generating choice for the consumer.  But the genuine choice has to go hand in hand with clear data and giving consumers the information they need to make decisions.

“The Compliance Officers Conference is a great opportunity to open up this issue for a more detailed discussion and I look forward to sharing The Law Superstore’s position with delegates.”
