Passionate about customer service, in 2014 James launched Hub.Legal, an online legal network to provide law firm members with advice on how to deliver world class service to their clients. Today he’s championing the firm signing up to a new type of online service that plans to revolutionise the sector – The Law Superstore.

Q1. Why did you choose to sign up to The Law Superstore?
A
.     As a firm, we are dedicated to excellence so if a new innovative business opportunity comes along, we are always happy to consider such an opportunity.

Q2. What advice would you give to other firms considering signing up to The Law Superstore?
A.     Law firms understand that the way clients look for services is changing. Connecting with our clients online is one of the ways we think works for our clients.

In the sign up process it is essential to sell your firm to your potential new client.  Be clear and concise about what services you offer, what you specialise in and most importantly make your firm stand out.

For FBC Manby Bowdler, customer service is at the heart of everything we do and research shows 97 per cent of our clients are ‘very’ or ‘fairly’ satisfied with the service we provided to them.

Q3. What do you aim to achieve by signing up to The Law Superstore?
A.     Ready access to our services for clients and, as a result, an increased number of referrals and enquiries.

As I’ve mentioned before clients are the prime focus here. Our aim is that our experts make clients feel at ease and the process as uncomplicated as possible.

Q4. What changes do you thing the legal sector needs to make to be more competitive?
A.     Think like a client and translate that into stellar service that clients will appreciate.  With no clients, law firms have no business.

Q5. How important is new business to your firm?
A.     New business is obviously very important to us as a firm. This is one of the reasons we are signing up to The Law Superstore. At the same time, ensuring we continue to provide stellar service to our existing clients is just as important.

Q6. What item of technology couldn’t you live without?
A.     This is quite a cliché but my smartphone.

Q7. Are you a Technophile or Luddite?
A.     Technophile.
