The 150 practices will promote their services through The Law Superstore, which gives businesses and consumers the ability to quickly and easily compare more than 130 legal services based on tailored criteria chosen by the user, including quality ratings, services, location, expertise and price.
The signed up practices include leading regional players Blacks in Yorkshire, Hansells in the East of England, McMillan Williams in London and the South, FBC Manby Bowdler in the West Midlands and Redkite Law in Wales as well as Express Solicitors in Manchester.
Overall the 150 practices offer access to solicitors specialising in everything from family law to conveyancing, business disputes and probate.
The Law Superstore chief executive Matthew Briggs says: “Having identified and hand-picked the UK’s most progressive law firms The Law Superstore is well on its way to reaching its law firm panel capacity.
“The overwhelming support we have received from these prestigious law firms reinforces our belief that we are at the start of a revolution in the legal sector that will change the way businesses and consumers buy legal services in the future.
“We have invested heavily in creating a true comparison platform that gives solicitors complete control over the kind of work they are looking to attract and the price they want to charge for those services.
“Some of the traditionalists we have spoken to are sceptical about using technology to generate new business. But they are in danger of being left behind as the early adopters reap the benefits of partnering with an organisation that specialises in generating new business, leaving law firms to focus on their core area of expertise – the law.”
The Law Superstore is the UK’s first legal services comparison website. Partner firms are in complete control of their presence on the website, they can choose the services, price and scope of the work they want to be visible to potential new customers.
There is no up-front investment and legal service providers are able to switch services on and off to meet their business needs. Once a potential client has chosen a legal service provider, the agreed fee structure and scope of the work will be provided to the firm and confirmed to the client.
Legal service providers who sign up to The Law Superstore and populate the partner and pricing area of the website before the 30 June are being offered two months fee free case referrals during August and September 2016.
“The Law Superstore is a no risk, new route to market for the legal sector and we look forward to welcoming more law firms as partners in advance of our launch,” says Briggs.
