Why is this type of comparison site necessary?

By Matthew Briggs In About TLS

The Law Superstore’s Matthew Briggs explains why there is a need for this type of comparison site in the legal market and how it will benefit both clients and partners.

  • Why is this type of comparison site necessary?

"I think there is a demand, simply because it is following in the footsteps of other big aggregation platforms, such as Confused.com and Go Compare. A distinct difference, however, would be the fact that The Law Superstore is not simply a price comparison engine. It is a whole market comparison engine.

Cost is, of course, one of the criteria because we know clients search via the cost because it is an important factor – but it’s not the only factor.

We give the client a broad search facility, which allows them to compare across a whole range of law firm criteria whether that be opening hours, disabled parking, speaking a foreign language or online case tracking systems. We allow and enable the client to select what is important to them.

People who have a legal requirement do not seek legal advice for a range of reasons. The most common reason is that people are afraid of using lawyers and solicitors. They don’t understand the language they use, they are expensive and there is a lack of transparency around the pricing, so there is no certainty.

This platform, The Law Superstore, is being built with all those barriers in mind, hoping that we can break down those barriers and make legal services more accessible to the consumer."
